From photo to facts
With your OK, the photo of your plate goes to the AI. It names the foods and estimates the portions. The nutrition numbers then come from USDA FoodData Central, the public food database of the US Department of Agriculture.

Your view, your call
Some days you want the grams. Some days you'd rather not see a single number. Plate view swaps calories for food groups and tips, and Numbers is there for adults who want it.
Under 18? Plates and tips only. Calorie numbers never show.
No weight-loss goals, at any age.
Pregnant or breastfeeding? Targets stay out, and BitePals suggests talking to a professional.

Bite Time with friends
Bite Time picks one moment a day for each meal, shared by everyone in your time zone who eats it. Post your plate and your friends' Bites unlock. Late? Post anyway, it just says late. Friends see your photo and caption. Never your numbers.
